Rebelगढ़ के वासी

Rebelगढ़ के वासी : My quick take on movie “Rebel Moon - part 2 - The Scargiver (Netflix)

"Rebel Moon - Part 2, The Scaregiver" rides on the coattails of a plot that's been recycled more times than your neighbor's old newspapers. Zack Snyder, known for his flair with zombies and comic book adaptations, brings his signature visual style to this futuristic flick. But let's not kid ourselves – the story isn't breaking any new ground. It's like watching a magician pull the same rabbit out of his hat for the umpteenth time.

The rebel Veldtवासी are the underdogs fighting against the big bad Motherworld, refusing to bow down to their tyrannical rule. (कुत्तो को अनाज देना बंद किया है ) Sound familiar? That's because it's a tale as old as time, or at least as old as Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai’ to “Maynificient Seven” to our “Sholay”. But hey, why come up with something original when you can just slap a fresh coat of paint on an old classic, right?

Snyder's visual effects are as dazzling as ever, transporting us to a futuristic arena where spaceships soar and lasers blaze. But underneath all the shiny CGI, the plot feels as thin as a sheet of paper. It's like trying to fill up on cotton candy – sure, it looks pretty, but it leaves you feeling empty inside.

And let's talk about those characters. Sure, they may have cool names like जय वीरू, but they're about as deep as a kiddie pool. It's hard to root for characters who feel like cardboard cutouts of every action movie stereotype rolled into one.

In the end, "Rebel Moon - Part 2, The Scaregiver" is like a disappointing sequel that fails to live up to the hype of the part 1 . It's a recycled story that's been done better before, leaving us wishing for something with a little more substance. Like our Virubhai says from the Paani ki Tanki, मौसी इस चक्की पिसिंग, we can say the Kurosawa story is “recycling” and “recycling”, but not effectively. बनाने निकले थे शोले, पर बना डाला RGV की आग 😜.

But hey, if you're just here for the flashy visuals and mindless action, then buckle up and enjoy the ride. Just don't expect to remember much once the credits roll.
