Reuse, Recycle and Refurbish

Reuse, Recycle and Refurbish : My quick take On movie “Bade Miyan, Chote Miyan” (BMCM) {theatrical release}

Yesterday i was spoilt for choices, one side there were two giant animals (Godzilla and King kong) fighting it out, other side were two Miyas, plus our Singham the coach in Maidan. I preferred BMCM because the movie tagline was “The world is about to end, and our heroes Will rise”, i hoped, forget the world, let Akki Miyan and Ganpat Miya may help each other and make their box office rise. 😉

In a Bollywood world where recycling plots is as common as chai breaks on set, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" shamelessly borrows from the King Khan playbook, replacing one Pathan with two Miyas (Pun intended 😜) and throwing in a broken arrow villain for good measure.

Akki and Tiger play the dynamic duo of ex-military rebels, court-martialed for their out-of-the-box thinking (and acting). Summoned back into action to thwart a masked maniac's plans, they're joined by Manushri Chillar, proving she's more than just a pretty face with some mean combat skills. Alaya F adds her flair as a nerdy sidekick, though her performance is as wodden as her surname.😄

Despite its flaws, the movie delivers high on action, military hardware, and impressive VFX, with Tiger stealing the show with his verbal banter and his dropkicks. But let's spare a thought for poor Tiger, forever condemned to sleeveless banyans while Prithviraj Sukumaran struts in style through his "Coatlife". (what a change from “Goatlife” to “Coatlife” 😉). Did I forget to mention Sonakshi? She is also there somewhere.

Sure, there's plenty of buzzwords like cloning, Artificial Intelligence (AI ) thrown in, but alas, the plot lacks the basic “intelligence” to stand out. And don't even get me started on the forgettable dance numbers, thankfully relegated to the end credits.

In conclusion, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" serves up a masala mix of action and comedy, though it might not pack the same punch as Pathan. But hey, if you're in the mood for some typical Bollywood escapism, grab some popcorn and enjoy the ride.

Just hope Singham’a Maidan does not play a spoilsport In Veer Sooryavanshi’s party. Remember it's a YRF project, does it mean the Spy universe is expanding???m
