आता माझी सनकली: My quick take on Vidyut Jamwaal’s ‘Sanak’

I simply adore this well-built, good-looking hunk whose action is as ‘electric’ as his name. Unfortunately, he is either picking the wrong movies or the so-called big movie Mughals of Bollywood ignore him, with the result he is getting typecast as ‘poor man’s tiger shroff’.

Sanak is a hostage drama, which will remind you of Bruce willies’ Diehard. Set in a multi-storied hospital that is taken over by a heavily armed gang who wants to smuggle out a convicted arms dealer who is undergoing cardiac surgery. Our hero happens to be in hospital, where his wife is undergoing post-operative treatment. That leads to ’फ़ाईट मारधाड़ से भरपूर टाइमपास’ .

Action choreography and hand-to-hand combats are very well done and are designed to exploit the skills of Vidyut. Some action sequences are of Hollywood quality (one in Man MRI center and one in a Physiotherapy rehab center is simply awesome. Apart from mind-blowing action, there is nothing new to the plot, it's the same run-of-the-mill story of good winning over evil. fortunately, there are no songs in the movie hence the ‘tense’ mood of the plot is retained.

This Diwali if you want to enjoy digital धमाका then you can watch it, else continue watching T20WC maybe without boys in blue in semis 😉.
