जेथे कर माझें जुळती 🙏

In the corridors of time, buried deep within the past, lies a verse that whispered wisdom to a young mind—a verse that resonated but remained dormant, waiting for the perfect moment to bloom. "जे का रंजले गांजले त्यासी म्हने जो आपुले, तोची साधु ओलखवा देव तथेची जानवा" - a Marathi poem learned in fifth standard, now finding its profound meaning decades later in a place called "Manobal."

The revelation dawned during a visit to "Manobal," nestled near Jalgaon, a testament to human resilience and unwavering dedication. This haven owes its existence and brilliance to Yajurvendra Mahajan, the visionary behind the Deepstambh Foundations, supported by the unwavering dedication of Prashant Deshpande, a friend and patron of this inspiring endeavor.

Deepstambh's inception was more than a mere idea; it was a commitment of personal wealth and an entire lifetime devoted to a singular cause—to offer free coaching and guidance to the marginalized sectors of society. It catered to persons with disabilities, orphans, transgenders, and underprivileged youth, nurturing them for various competitive examinations conducted by governmental agencies. What's remarkable is that this movement, spanning fifteen years, thrives solely on corporate donations and well-wishers' support, shunning reliance on governmental aid.

The new campus in Jalgaon is a manifestation of hope sprawled over three acres—a purposeful design encompassing accessible residential blocks, academic buildings, hostels for boys and girls, and essential amenities like a kitchen, dining area, and guest house. Here, amidst these structures, seeds of aspiration and education intertwine to nurture thoroughbred candidates for all forms of competitive examinations.

What sets this sanctuary apart is the indomitable spirit of its students. Visual impairments, dwarfism, locomotor disabilities, hearing impairments—none of these define or limit their pursuit of knowledge. They immerse themselves in a curriculum that mirrors the quality and rigor bestowed upon the most 'privileged' youth, proving that limitations are mere illusions in the realm of true determination.

The success stories that emerge from Manobal are testament to this unwavering dedication. Anjali Sharma, visually impaired, ascends to the rank of an IAS officer; Prashant Kedare, bound to a wheelchair, embarks on a career as a bank official; Veena Kashid, representing the transgender community, earns an MTech degree. The roster of accomplished individuals stretches far and wide, each a testament to the human spirit's unfathomable resilience when provided with opportunities.

Deepstambh, aptly named, illuminates the path for these individuals, serving as a beacon not of pity but of life—a life where opportunities are the true currency. Yajurvendra Mahajan stands tall as the monk who diverted wedding expenses to sow the seeds of this movement, a man whose commitment, zeal, and unyielding focus have illuminated the futures of many.

For those who witness the transformation and dedication of Manobal, it becomes an experience as rewarding as visiting the sacred "चार धाम." In these halls of learning, amidst the echoes of courage and the vibrancy of dreams, lies a testament to the human spirit's boundless potential when nurtured and believed in.

Thank you Prashant Deshpande, for this visit.
