A perfect Murder?

A perfect murder? : My quick take on Ajay devgun’s”Drishyam 2”

Not sure if there can be a perfect murder, but i can confidently tell if there is a perfect sequel to a murder mystery than this is the one. Hats of to original Malayalam writer Jitu Joseph for coming out with such a masterpiece. Mind you I have watched thhe original Mohanlal starter version too, yet I found the HINDI remake quiet absorbing, rivetting and engrossing affair.

Hats off to performances of Ajay Devgun, TABU and Akshay Khanna. Whose performance will keep you at the edge of seat. Not to forget the devilish costable played by kamlesh Sawant, he was too good. Ajay and Tabu continued their superlative performance from where they left in part 1, but the plot became spicier after the entry of balding Akshay Khanna (he did not hide his bald loooks) who has few of the best dialogs in the movie. Going by his looks in the movie, Akshay Khanna can play the role of Prince Charles if his biopic is made in future.

In original Malayalam movie the plot is set in God’s own ccountry which is no doubt a bewhiching lanscape, while the Hindi one is set in equally scenic locales of Goa. Deft camera work, good adaptation of the screenplay, Apt BGM, and spiced with unimaginable twists make it a great watch. Going by the twists in the tale looks like sequel 3 is a work in progress.

Currently it's is theaters, but soon it will be Amazon (most likely)
