Bloody good one: My Quick take on Netflix’s movie “Blood Red Sky”
It was by sheer accident I bumped into this action horror film, and it turned out to be a good one. Originally this is a German movie, available in the English language too. The plot is somewhat similar to “Snakes on the plane” with the only difference instead of Vipers there is a Vampire on board. Let me not elaborate on the plot else the thrill will fizz out.
The screenplay writer should be commended for keeping the audience on the edge of the seat as it is packed with emotions, mid-air hijack, terrorists, maa ka Pyaar, good and bad bloodthirsty vampires, well-choreographed action shots. It’s a very novel genre of the movie of having a “Samaritan Vampire”. Looking at the climax of the movie, it seems the season 2 or a sequel of this sky will be out soon (my guess)
Luckily it is not as gory as any Korean zombie (Kingdom / Train to Busan) movie nor has over-the-top action like Zack Snyder’s “Army of the dead” which makes it a thoroughly watchable movie.
After “Dark web series” this is another good movie made by German makers. Watch it if you love this genre of movies of creatures with fangs.
