Desi Godfather attempt: My quick take on Zee5’s ‘Line of descent’

You would be surprised to read this review about a movie released in 2019 and which deservedly everyone forgot. No, I am not going to review this lame attempt to showcase Prem Chopra as Don Corleone and his dysfunctional family of desi Al Pacinos and James Cannes. It's an utterly useless and stupid plot about a family which is involved in nefarious activities of extortion and forceful eviction ultimately perishes due to infighting.

No, I did not like the movie, neither I recommend this desi Godfather to you all. What I liked about the movie was that the makers had roped in Hollywood star Brenden Fraser (Mummy fame) to do an important role in the movie. Hope such a cross-industry experiment will benefit audiences like us ( we have seen Randeep Hooda playing an important part opposite Thor in Extraction )

Coming back to this Line of descent, it has a wonderful line up of cast like Abhay Deol, Ronit Roy, Neeraj Kabi, and Brendan Fraser, however, I only wished if this line of descent had a ‘decent’ story to tell 😜
