Impressive adaptation: My quick take on “The Night Manager” (Disney/hotstar)
It was a double whammy for me, I had seen some interviews some trailers of this impressive night manager ( the Hindi version) , but then stumbled across the original one, the English one BBC web series, which was released way back in 2016. Luckily it is available on Amazon prime, and this eight episode night manager is simply binge worthy affair. 
we all know the BBC web series is rich on its production value. They are made on lavish budget. This series can be compared with any bond series. Plot is not novel, where an ex-British soldier is hired by British intelligence and put on a covert mission to track Adnan Khashoggi type arms dealer. This website is a simply paisa Vasool experience.
But then I had seen some trailers of the Hindi version which is released on Disney hot star, and I was wondering how they would have adapted this classic spy, thriller in Indian context, but to my surprise, the adaptation is simply awesome. No doubt original plot itself is so intriguing. It will keep you on the edge of seat. It is the Indian casting which makes this web series binge worthy. We have stars like veteran Anil Kapoor , Aditya Roy kapoor , saswata Chatterjee , tilottama shome , who have done a fabulous job. Though the Hindi version is with a limited release (just 4 episodes now) with next lot scheduled for June ‘23, it still worth a watch and like me if you watch the original one first then you will enjoy and appreciate how nicely it’s was blended and accommodated in our desi ethos.
On lighter note, looks like अब जमाना फ़र्ज़ी हो गया, we have mastered the copy cat business.
