Impressive LOST

How could I miss this classic thriller ?? : My quick take on Yami Goutam’s “Lost” (zee5)

I am surprised as to how come such a beautiful movie has not got enough publicity ? Surprisingly, it is released by Z5. They have their own oTT channel !!!

Movie claims that it is based on true stories, if so, hats off to such courageous reporters who pursue search hard hitting stories which has potential to topple government (i have recently seen a Marathi serial Ranbazaar, which can be classified of the same genre) . Movie will remind you of the classic Vidya balan’s kahani , more for its sitting in the old city of Calcutta, which has its own beautiful charm.

Here you have a retired professor played by Pankaj Kapur, who is living with his journalist granddaughter played by Yami Gautam. She works for some news portal. She comes across a story of missing adult and she pursues it to its logical conclusion, while doing so she has to fight hurdles at various levels. The plot is all about her dogged fight and steely resilience to seek justice. Yami is simply yummy in looks as well as her performance and it is nice to see my karmachand back in his elements.

Movie can be watched for its story, direction , performances and for my beautiful old lady ‘Kolkata’ she is so charming.
