Moshe’s Magic

Moshe’s Magic: My quick take on Apple TV’s web series “Tehran S02”

I had become a fan of Moshe after watching his fantastic web series “Fauda”, and he continued to impress me in season 1 of Tehran. Now in season 2, this zonder has created wonder by creating this hard-hitting edge-of-seat thriller.

This season starts after a few months after the botched-up operation of season 1 wherein the agents of the failed mission are stuck in Tehran. Now, these agents embark on their unfinished dare-devil mission. The eight-episode-long season 2 is binge watch worthy experience, however, since it was a deferred release series it took 8 weeks for me to complete it.

NIV sultan continues to impress from where she left in season 1, but the real surprise package of the web series was the charming old lady (Glen close). Since it's an espionage-based thriller I will stay away from elaborating on the plot, however, I would like to commend the writer for keeping the script so tight and the editor for crisply editing the series keeping the intrigue alive.

At times one may feel as if you are watching a typical WWII plot where Germans are often depicted as dumb and sitting ducks or like in any James bond movie the villains are a nincompoop. If you ignore such creative liberties of makers you will like the series. I loved it, now eagerly awaiting S03.
