No time to think: My quick take on Rohit Shetty's ‘Suryavanshi’

Rohit Shetty and thinking audience???? Sounds oxymoronic, isn't it? Because when you watch Shetty's cop-verse you tend to become a ‘Napolean Brain-apart’ 😎, you have to just shut the top chamber of yr head and enjoy the proceedings. Suryavanshi is as ‘massy’ as Simba and Singham with the signature car blasts and car chases, packed with tongue-in-cheek humor, some breathtaking helicopter stunts, remixed songs, family melodrama and a pack of ‘villains’ . The best part is all this happens so fast that it literally becomes a ‘blink n miss’ type of sequence. It also has a heavy dose of ‘preachy secular ‘भाषणगिरी’ which would have made great Manmohan Desai proud.

Movie is packed with so many actors (nice to see Rohit Shetty giving employment to so many guys 😎), but the best performer for me is not the men but the 4 wheeled machines which topples, twists, and tumbles effortlessly. in this movie Shetty has graduated to the next level by trying airborne stunts. Frankly speaking , I watched this movie after watching Bonds No time to die hence comparison of action scenes is bound to happen, and let me admit that Shetty's work is rather elementary ( it is like comparing India’s batting against Pakistan vis a vis Namibia 😜)

Like the item songs, here Rohit Shetty has introduced anew concept of ‘item stunts’ wherein like item dancers we have Ranvir Singh and Ajay Devgun doing a bit of cameo stunts. Overall it is a full to masala entertainer giving you ‘watch it forget it’ experience. Now since boyz in blue are out of action, you can watch boys in khaki beating men black n blue 😜

I have avoided commenting on performance/s because there is nothing worth commenting on. If you are patient enough you can watch it on Netflix soon. Like in the Avengers there is frame wheere all three Leos are standing back to back and taking on bunch of villains, here I felt there is a vacancy for a fourth cop as it would look like our national symbol of four lions, Rohit Shetty are you listening? How about adding say Chulbul Pandey to the cop-verse??
