Well, buckle up, because the city's latest "haadsa" is a new bhai in town—Murshid Pathan, played by the ever-intense Kay Kay Menon. Unlike your typical gangster, this Pathan wasn’t out there flexing his muscles or cooking up the next big heist. Nope, he was actually enjoying the simple pleasures of retired life—sipping chai, maybe even tending to a garden, until the city of dreams and disasters decided to shake things up. And just like that, our laid-back Pathan is yanked out of his golden years and thrust back into the gritty world of bhaigiri. How refreshingly original, right? 😊

Now, putting the sarcasm aside, let’s get real. Yes, the plot is as predictable as a monsoon downpour in July—full of the usual gang rivalry and local politics. But here's the kicker: it's Kay Kay Menon who makes this otherwise well-worn story worth your while. Standing tall, both literally and metaphorically, KK steps into the role of a Pathan who's dragged out of hibernation with the kind of flair that’s become his trademark. The intense gaze, the purposeful stride—it's no wonder they call him the Bachchan of art cinema. And guess what? He doesn’t disappoint.

Zakir Khan, playing the rival bhai, deserves his share of applause too. He’s no sidekick here—his performance is as sharp as a freshly minted goli.

As for the writing? Surprisingly solid. With unexpected twists that keep you guessing, the seven episodes feel like two seasons rolled into one. Sure, it's not a big-budget Hollywood spectacle, but the creators have managed to whip up a decent underworld saga. Plus, the short, 35-minute episodes make it just the right length for a weekend binge.
