Raanga’z Boyz

Raanga’z Boyz : My quick take on movie “Aavesham” (theatrical release)

Step right up, folks, for a rollercoaster ride of mediocrity and mayhem in the much-hyped "Aavesham"! Strap in as we embark on a journey through the land of wafer-thin plots, mindless action, and a generous serving of slapstick comedy.

For all you FaFaFa fans out there (yes, that's Fahad Fasil for the uninitiated), rejoice! Your favorite expressive artist takes center stage as the local Dada in a munnabhai-esque avatar. But hold onto your popcorn, because despite the rave reviews, this movie might not be the masterpiece you were hoping for.

Picture this: three fresh-faced Keralite students land in Bangalore to pursue their engineering dreams, only to be greeted with a hearty serving of ragging from their seniors. Cue the dramatic entrance of Raanga (played by FaFa) and his trusty sidekick Amban (Sajin Gopu), as they join forces with our hapless heroes to plot their revenge.

Now, I must confess, my grasp of Malayalam leaves much to be desired, so some of the jokes flew right over my head faster than Raanga and gang’s fists in a bar fight. But fear not, dear audience, for when Raanga switches to Kannada, even the language-challenged among us can breathe a sigh of relief.

Let's talk performances, shall we? While the trio of boys and their rival gang put on a commendable show, it's the dynamic duo of Raanga and Amban who steal the spotlight with their bombastic, larger-than-life antics. Prepare yourselves for an overdose of overacting that would make even the most seasoned thespians blush.

In summary, "Aavesham" is the epitome of a time-pass masala movie, complete with comedy, action, and enough song and dance sequences to make your seeti podu till the cows come home. So, if you're in the mood for a dose of FaFa's acting prowess, be warned: you might just end up with a hefty serving of over-the-top theatrics instead.
