Revolver Raja : My quick take on Mamooty’s “Christopher” (Amazon Prime)

Way back in 2014 there came a movie called “Revolver Rani” the Kangana in lead, in fact, she was riding on her success wave of Queen, but this movie was so gross that it failed miserably. Now comes Christopher with my favorite star Mamooty in the lead, this vigilante cop story is about a revolver-brandishing cop who loves to give instant justice. It reminded me of Kangana’s Rani. No, there is nothing in common between these two movies, except the fact that the box of the fate of both will be the same 😉.

Mamooty plays this trigger-happy IPS cop Christopher, who is a no-nonsense guy, and believing in delivering instant justice, hence throughout the movie he keeps closing the files/cases of these highly placed crime mongers. Though the premise of the movie seems to be impressive, the execution and pace of the movie are so tardy and to worsen it you have some action pieces in super slow motion.

Not sure why Mommmty accepted this role, no doubt he looks graceful in khakis but he looks very jaded in action shots (as if Asit sen is fighting goons 😉) Maybe just to prove a point to his fans that if lalettan can do action in Lucifer, then I too can.

This Revolver Raja is definitely not to my taste. Maybe I will prefer watching Kangana’s RR again 😉. If you Dont't have anything worthwhile to watch then tr it, else skip it.
