Run for kavach (cover) : My quick take on Aditya Roy Kapoor’s “Rashtra Kavach OM”

It's an absurdly stupid, cringe-worthy movie, which was made only to showcase the well-chiseled 8-pack torso of Aditya Roy Kapoor. Plot is about our desi version of star shield program called कवच, meant to shield us from any nuclear attack. This highly confidential program is being ‘sold’ to dushman country and only person to stop this is our hero “Om Rathor” who is a decorated commando.

If Tiger Shroff can be called “poor man’s Hritik” , then Aditya Roy kapoor can be called as “poor man’s Tiger” in this movie. It looks like an extension of Tigers movie ‘Baghi 3’ , because like Tiger here too, Aditya fights and brings down a chopper. Hey, how about creating a “dumb commando’s universe” with Tiger , Aditya and you can even add cyborg John of attack 😁. Sorry guys, you will be wondering as to why I am talking about tigers and John’s and not about this Kavach, reason is simple - there isn't anything worth mentioning 😉.

Feel sorry for this Ashiqui star, I was impressed with his performance then, but looks like someone misguided him to work on his body instead of acting skills. No doubt he has transformed himself into a muscle-rippling hunk, but I wish he had selected a proper script or director to do justice to his acting skills.

Jackie Shroff, Prakash Raj, and Ashutosh Rana have given their best hamming performances to date, action scenes are well choreographed and that is the only saving grace. The overall movie can be avoided. If watched, then you will also run for Kavach like me 😉.
