Seek and Fiund

“Seek and found” - My quick take on Tovino Thomas’s “Anveshippin Kadethum” (Netflix)

Get ready to embark on a thrilling ride through the murky world of crime, investigation and police procedures with Tovino Thomas's latest flick, "Anveshippin Kadethum" on Netflix.

Thomas, with his superhero charm from "Minnal Murali," effortlessly slips into the role of Cop SI Anand Narayanan, whose determination to crack the case knows no bounds. Let me confess that Tovino has impressed me since i saw him in a desi cape of super hero as Minnal Murali, since then i Dont miss any of his movies.

The movie, however, feels more like a TV show with its episodic format, juggling two murder cases that seem as disconnected as pineapple on pizza. Yet, amidst the chaos of village politics and religious tensions, the filmmaker manages to walk the tightrope without causing too much of a stir.

As our gusty Sub Inspector dives deeper into the mysteries, you'll find yourself hooked, thanks to the picturesque backdrop of Kerala and the gripping performances that Malayalam cinema never fails to deliver. And don't worry if you're not fluent in Malayalam; the multi-language dubs on Netflix are surprisingly top-notch. ( I enjoyed the Hindi as well as Kannada version) Best thing about cops in a Malayalam movies is that they are very “human” and there is nothing like Dabang Being Humanness in its portrayal. 😉

So, grab your popcorn, sit back, and let "Anveshippin Kadethum" do the seeking while you enjoy the finding. I am confident that Anveshippin will ship you to a enjoyable journey.
