Stay calm, the world is safe, Ethan Hunt is in action: My quick take on ā€œMI-7: Dead reckoning Part Oneā€

A couple of days back the new AI Tool ChatGpt was in the news when it had created an incorrect Advertisement, whereby announcing to the world that AI is still taking baby steps. Now Ethan Hunt is back on his ā€œImpossibleā€ mission to save the world for the 7th time, however, this time he is confronting a supremely Impossible villain which is not a human but a highly evolved AI logic that is threatening to take control of the world.

The plot reminded me of a Mandrake comic (Indrajaal) which I must have read nearly 4 decades back where a huge Robot decides to create its battalion of baccha robots and take control of humanity. We have seen many movies with similar plots wherein either a robot or a supercomputer goes rogue. But in a MI movie who cares for the plot, it's the well-designed action choreography, adrenaline pumping chases, and some impossible stunts performed by Maverick Cruise himself, and here our Tom Bhai is absolutely on role. He has literally done paisa vasool BASE jump stunts (Building, Antenna, Span & elevation). The mountain bike jumping off the cliff onto a high-speed train is indeed a jaw-dropping feat. The chase sequence in Rome ki galli in cute little Fiat 500 is better than what we have seen in Fast-X, however, I am not getting the logic behind why all the big-budget movies have their car chases set on the cobbled streets of historic Rome. ą¤¦ą¤Æą¤¾ ą¤•ą„ą¤› ą¤¤ą„‹ ą¤—ą¤”ą¤¼ą¤¬ą¤”ą¤¼ ą¤¹ą„ˆ ??? šŸ˜œ

This movie is designed for big-screen viewing, no doubt it's a paisa vasool experience. Can't wait to see Part two of Dead Reckoning. If you love this genre of mindless action with gravity and physics-defying stunts, where one has to leave your brain at home, then just don't miss it.
