Thin line between “सिरफ़ा” and “सरफिरा”

Thin line between “सिरफ़ा” and “सरफिरा” : My quick take on Shahid and Kriti’s “तेरी बातों में ऐसा उलझा जिया” (theatrical release)

Move over from Shankar’s Chitti, there's a new robotic romance in town! "Sifra" takes us on a techy love journey where Shahid Kapoor's robotic engineer goes from coding to courting. The CGI and VFX are the real MVPs, giving us visuals as binary as the movie's writing – swinging between zeroes and A-ones.

In this Delhiwaali family drama, taking us on a nostalgia trip to "Buniyaad" days. Shahid's character upgrades from Kabir Singhs and Bloody Daddys mode to a love-struck engineer. Kriti Sanon, our dazzling robot lady, not only looks stunning but nails the emotionless charm. Forget heart-to-heart talks; here, it's more like circuit-to-circuit connections.

The plot had the potential for sitcom gold, but alas, the writers missed the comedic coding. Dharmendra makes a delightful appearance, continuing his legacy from “Rocky aur Rani,” albeit without wheelchairs or memory loss. Dimple, the bobby of my teenage days adds grace as the developer of this lovable robot

The dance numbers shine, with Shahid grooving like a well-programmed robot. Kriti, too, hits the right algorithm. The title is longer than a robot's to-do list, but you might forget it before finishing – just like the movie's emotional depth.

For a clean, family-friendly flick with a sprinkle of lip locks, it's a robo-rom-com worth a watch. Celebrate Valentine's with "Sifra," or stick to parliament debates – after all, both can be equally entertaining 🤣
