ख़ामोश .... : My quick take on ZEE5’s new movie ‘Silence .... can you hear it?’

It’s an elongated version of ‘Crime Patrol’, with the exception of TV serial episodes are sometimes interesting , while this Manoj Bajpai’s movie is utterly butterly childish. A no nonsense dabang officer played by this years national award winner actor Manoj Bajpai is given a charge to solve a seemingly open and shut case of a murder of a daughter of a retired Justice.

Like Inspector Pradyuman , this Avinash too has a small team of 3 officers who help him solve the case in the end. It’s a lame plot, where you are led to believe that the killer is an obvious guy and in the climax you get to see a non significant character as the real killer...... है की नहीं एकदम नया प्लॉट 🤪.

A predictable plot, average performances by cast, childish action scenes, very elementary crime investigation , make me say that shh..... let it remain silent. ( In fact there is a zabardast movie by Martin Scorsese with same title ‘Silence’ it’s about a missing Christian missionary in Japan, do watch it instead)

Looks like ZEE5, is yet to come out with some brilliant product on its OTT platform. Whatever I have seen so far has been B-grade stuff (or should I say Z-grade), baring Raangbaaz and few Bengali series like Kark Rog and Kaali I hv yet to see some good movies/series on ZEE5.

You can watch Nawazuddin’s Raat akeli hai on Netflix instead, not that Raat akeli hai is of Hitchcock class but it certainly creates a desired ambiance required for a murder mystery.
