दमदार sequel, not to be missed : My quick take on web series “Delhi Crime S02” (Netflix)

This can be touted as one othe few Indian contents where Netflix got it right. Like it's predecessor the S01 which was again a hard-hitting series, the sequel is also impressive. Though technically it cannot be a sequel as the season 1 ends with solving of brutal gag rape case (it was based on the Nirbhaya case), here in s02 the makers have come up with a fictionalized serial murder case (this is based on कच्छा बनियन गैंग cases). It is the same team headed by impressive Shefali , who is ably supported by likes of Rajeesh Telang & Rasika Duggal.

What I liked about this crime drama is that, the realistic plot settings in the alleys of Delhi which adds authenticity to the plot, secondly the cast selection is simply awesome, even the sundry extra characters in fthe frame are hand-picked actors who will impress you, a third thing which is impressive is a novel technique of using English narration with HINDI dialogs, this interplay of language is quiet interesting. Fourth, is the short duration of series (just 5 episodes)

No doubt Shefali is the kingpin (queen pin 😀) of the show, looks like the role was tailor-made for her. Her uprightness as a law-abiding officer is damn impressive. All her team members complement her very well with Rajesh Tailang leading the pack. Flawless camerawork and sharp direction of Tanuj Chopra are commendable.

Short series is a binge-watch worthy, and is highly recommended by me, provided you enjoy such crime stories.
